SLIPS

This section does not imply that District 16 encourages or condones slips. The facts are, as described in the "Big Book" and from our experience, that slips are a fact of life for some in recovery. That some do not recover on the first attempt is one of those "I don't understands". Surely, if God wanted us to understand He would provide the answer. To date, He has not provided the answer and probably never will. What we do know is that those who do have slips have probably "failed to enlarge their spiritual life".

Having introduced the problem, what is the solution? Perhaps we all need to be more spiritually centered so that those around us grow from the spirituality that surrounds us. Today I will be more loving and spiritually centered.

Remember, some never return to the tables of A.A. from a slip. God is the only protection I have from that first drink!
